BiosPacific
and Fortron Bio Science formed a joint venture in 1992 to manufacture
and market a line of affinity purified polyclonal antibodies and to
develop Troponin technology and reagents. Together, we were the
first companies to develop and market matched reagents for Troponin
I. BiosPacific and Fortron together have been one of the leading suppliers
of diagnostic reagents to the diagnostic kit manufacturer for over 13
years.
Both BiosPacific and Fortron were purchased by R&D Systems, Inc. in
July of 2005. All of the quality Fortron products are still
available through BiosPacific. All Fortron reagent
manufacturing has been transferred to the R&D Systems facility in
Minneapolis, Minnesota.
BiosPacific will continue to offer the same excellent quality products
and services as before, with increased production and reagent
development capabilities, through our partnership with R&D
